Introduction Ferrosilicon Slag :
Iron silicon is often used as a deoxidizer for steelmaking.Ferrosilicon can also be used as an alloy element binder widely used in low alloys Steel, non-ferrous metal, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel, silicon steel for electricians.Ferrosilicon commonly used as a reducing agent in ferroalloy production and the chemical industry. In the iron industry, it is often used as an inoculum, nodule, and oxygen scavenger.
Application of Silicon Briquette :
1. Partially take place of FeSi in BOF.
2. Used as heat riser.
3. Used as silicon additive.
4. Used as deoxidizer.
Advantage of Silicon Briquette :
1) efficient initiating of smelting process in steelwork furnaces;
2) convenient and less expensive substitute to standard Ferro Silicon;
3) suitability of mixing with different materials according to customers' needs and requirements;
4) compression of pure material in capsular form, hence convenient in usage;
