Properties of Silicon Slag:
1. Silicon slag can be used to recrystallize and purify;
2. Effectively discharge slag, increase the number of markings, improve the toughness and cutting ability of castings. Stainless steel manufacturers use slag as reducing agent to improve efficiency and output during the process of refining stainless steel.
3. Ferrosilicon slag is a slag that is cleaned from the ladle when producing ferrosilicon. In addition to impurities, its essence is the same as that of ferrosilicon. It can be re-smelted into ferrosilicon, or it can be directly used in steel plants for steel deoxidation. Some cast iron castings can improve their mechanical properties after adding a small amount of ferrosilicon.
