Dissolved in water to form calcium hydroxide and produce a lot of heat, soluble in acid, glycerin and sucrose solutions, almost insoluble in ethanol. The relative density is 3.32 to 3.35. The temperature of 2572 ° C. The boiling point is 2850 °C. The refractive index is 1.838. Corrosive.
